Introducing Application Security Flaws at Agile Speed

Agile development methodologies and the DevOps tools used to implement them offer a rare opportunity to influence a culture shift within application development toward secure code. Whether you are part of a large enterprise working to streamline your software delivery lifecycle or a startup who has already automated application testing and deployment, you'll discover opportunities you are missing that can reveal costly vulnerabilities and get them remediated earlier, when they are least expensive.

Speaker: Tony Rice

Tony Rice leads automation of secure application development operations for Cisco’s Critical Business Software. With more than 20 years of experience he has built and tested nearly every aspect of simplifying and securing the application development lifecycle. Rice holds a patent on large scale SCM system monitoring and has pending cloud security automation patents and maintains a CISSP certification.  In his spare time, he enjoys getting students excited about STEM topics through astronomy and space flight, volunteering as a NASA/JPL's Ambassador and the NASA Langley Research Center's Speakers’ Bureau. Rice has spoken on security, software engineering and space topics at conferences ranging from the North Carolina Association of Elementary Educators to the IEEE to the American Meteorological Society.
